“Rudolf Nurejew” tells the story of the most famous ballet dancer in the world. Born in Sibiria in 1938, at the age of 17 he graduated from the prestigious Leningrad State Choreography School (now the Waganowa Ballet School). During a tour in Paris in 1961, he applied for asylum in France. With his choreographies he has revived many classical ballet works such as “Nutcracker”, “Don Quixote” and “Swan Lake” and continued to modernity. He made the male part of the role equal to the ballerina and danced with the most famous dancers of the 20th century. Rudolf Nurejew was a passionate man until his early death in 1993 and is still an incomparable icon of ballet dancing.
