Born in Sibiria in 1938, at the age of 17 he graduated from the prestigious Leningrad State Choreography School (now the Waganowa Ballet School). With his choreographies he has revived many classical ballet works such as “Nutcracker”, “Don Quixote” and “Swan Lake” and continued to modernity.
